gemma716 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 hi there my fan belt keeps makeing nosie the fan belt is tight tried wd40 as the noise goes away for 10 seconds then comes back like a grding noise then squeeks put when iam driving when i put the clutch the nosie goes.I have tried wd40 on the pulleys put just goes for 10 seconds dont no to chang the belt idle pulley the tenncher pully crank shaft pully how do you find out help help help help Quote
jasongtr Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 squeeky fan belts are squeeking because they are slipping, adding oil to it will make it slip more until it burns off, it needs changing or maybe adjusting the adjuster so its tighter. they are not expensive to buy or hard to fit (not that ive ever done one on a galaxy - but other cars are a doddle) Quote
